Jordan s tourism revenues rise to JD2 billion

Jordan s tourism revenues rose by 13.5 percent to $2.5 billion (JD1.8 billion) at the end of July, 2017 compared to $2.2 billion in the same period of 2016, according to Director General of Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat.

Arabiyat told Petra that joint efforts between the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board reflected positively on the Kingdom s tourism revenues.

He said the positive tourism indicators reflect efforts exerted by the JTB to put Jordan on the world tourism map and promote it as a tourist destination despite the current situation in the region.
